Jay and the whole Manse team where amazing during every stage of the build, from pre pour of the slab , through to the final handover. Jay nearly paid for himself with building spec failures /rectifications that the average person would not have a clue about. He was accessible any time I needed him and happy to share his abundant knowledge any time I asked. We engaged Manse as a safety net for our build, and boy we are glad we did. Not only were the reports complete and comprehensive, but our inspector (Jay) did a fantastic job and explaining what things meant if we had any questions. Jay was also absolutely fantastic at rearranging things on his side when our builder wasn't organised enough for our inspections to be done as scheduled. Sadly they are out of the Service area we are Building in, but that still did not stop Rachel from sending through a checklist and things to look out for when selecting an Independent Build Inspector. While I am totally envious of the people that get to have Manse inspecting their Build, I am also happy that professionals with kind hearts actually exist in this industry. The fact that they got nothing from us, but took the time out to send through info for us to refer, just blew us off our feet. Best investment we made when building. Without Jay Di Paola from the Manse group being involved we would have been delivered a house that was highly defective and poorly constructed. Jay produced detailed, easily understood and evidence based reports, citing the Standards in each area. Without these stage reports, and follow up inspections, we would not have had the positive outcome we finally got without the Manse Group. Jay provided us with everything we needed to argue major problems with our builder. Jay has saved us many years of ongoing problems and a lot of money that we would have to have paid out in the future because of our builders poor attitude. Jay was so professional, very kind and no question we asked him went unanswered. Jay was such a lovely young man who was so friendly, honest, so easy to talk to and whom we ended up trusting implicitly. We felt Jay saved our build and our sanity as our builder did not care and tried to cut multiple corners with shoddy workmanship. Jay genuinely cared and he showed it. Jay was always in our corner, supporting us, giving us the knowledge to stand up to our builder and the reassurance we needed as we had never built before. Engaging Manse Group Building Consultants for all 5 phases of the building inspection was the wisest decision we have made. Hamish has been really dedicated in all aspects of the inspection and gave us a very detailed report with pictures and information on the defects. Since we were not able to be on site frequently, we heavily relied on Hamish to advise us what we should discuss with our site supervisor. My site supervisor even amazed at the quality of the inspection and the amount of time and effort Hamish put in for the final inspection. We have had George inspect each stage of our build and he's been great at picking up all the issues along the way, but also fair in praising work that has been done well. We have especially appreciated the way in which he's stood up for us when our builder has tried to fob us off with incomplete work and wasted our (and his) time with re-inspections that they were not ready for.

Manse Group was the consultants who I zeroed in for my pre-handover inspection. George, who is the inspector, has been so meticulous in examining every nook and corner of the property lasting several hours. He came up with a comprehensive report and identified a whole slew of defects.
Once the builder completed fixing the identified issues, George came back for a re-inspection to ensure the job is done to the required standards.

Knowing that we were building with a volume builder, we always had concerns about the quality of build and wanted to get a second opinion every step of the way. We had Hamish inspect every stage of our build. Reports came through quickly and it was great to hold our volume builder accountable. To add to this, our volume builder was also one of the builders who went into liquidation. I purchased Quality Assurance services from Manse Group. The processes to sign up, and get a coverage scope were very reasonable and easy to set up. I was advised by a friend to request for Jay.
It was the best decision I ever made. I would give his professional Conduct and quality of reports 20 out of 10. It not only helped me work better with the builder to get a quality built dwelling by the end of the process. But to have a lifelong record of the highlighted issues and what rectification works were done should issues arise in the future.

I highly recommend Manse Group. The admin girls were always friendly and very accommodating in providing paperwork that I frequently requested. George Georgievski my building inspector was a miracle worker. Unfortunately, I had a lot of problems with my builder (Arli Homes) but George was always there to push hard to sort things out. He also at times didn't hesitate in going to my builders inspector and threatening to escalate to the VBA if things weren't fixed. George would happily take my calls to explain any questions I may have had. Manse Group reports are very detailed, and their fee includes reinspection. This is the second time I have built and what I have learned is that builders will take shortcuts - you need to have the help of a firm like Manse Group to keep them accountable. We highly recommend the Manse Group! We had them for every stage of our build, and they absolutely saved our home! Their reports are thorough and evidence based, making them dummy-proof; easy to read and understand. We as the homeowners could easily grasp why items were defective, and how they should be corrected, according to Victorian Building Codes & Regulations.
Manse Group also advocated for us, backing our conversations, answering calls and attending meetings with the builder, helping us to get concrete resolutions and a home built according to code.
Manse Group provide more than just detailed building inspections & reports, they are consultants, providing us advice with when to escalate reports, who to escalate to, and recommended next steps given the issues we had with our builder. They provide their expert experience & understanding of codes & regulations blended with fantastic communication skills, building rapport and trust with all stakeholders.
We would absolutely engage them again and recommend them to everyone! They are worth every penny, and having re-inspections included in their packages, gives you peace of mind, particularly in an industry wherein photos & taking a builder’s word just doesn’t cut it. For example - we had numerous re-inspections as our builder had either ignored defects, or fixed some but not all items, so definitely worthwhile having re-inspections!
