Roof inspections completed with drone in Geelong
Manse Group has CASA (Civil Aviation Safety Authority) accredited drone operators in our team, which gives us the ability to inspect elevated elements of your new home if required.
Along with new home inspections, Manse Group also specialises in building defect inspections and have unfortunately found the demand for this in our region is growing. We invested in this equipment to assist homeowners experiencing water ingress and subsequent damage in their homes.
When attending construction sites throughout the build stages, we are bound by OH&S Regulations and the Builder’s OH&S requirements, not to mention we have a strong safety focus and duty of care for our dedicated Assessors. Access to roofs and elevated areas is not allowable unless scaffold or barriers are in place. For this reason, our dedicated Assessors complete a visual inspection of roof and elevated areas during the Final Inspection, using their A-frame ladders.
While drones are not exhaustive, they increase the possibility of identifying defects which could result in significant damage caused water ingress via roof and upper cladding. There are limitations to what can be seen with a drone; however, it provides the opportunity to inspect elements of the roof, upper cladding and elevated areas that would not have been possible otherwise.
Inspection via drone is an optional extra that we recommend to clients who are building a double storey home.

Our CASA accredited Building Consultant will attend site to inspect the roof and elevated areas when your dedicated Assessor is completing your new home final inspection, and if defects are identified, the drone photos will be added to the final inspection report.
